Server Rules

1. Privacy and Confidentiality:

1.1 Refrain from sharing or leaking personal information about fellow players within our Minecraft or Discord servers. This includes details such as names, surnames, photos, or any concealed personal information.

Please note that our staff cannot address actions occurring on external servers beyond our control.

2. Forbidden Actions:

2.1 Strictly avoid engaging in activities like ddosing, swatting, brigading, spamming, or any similar disruptive actions.

2.2 Advertising other servers is explicitly prohibited.

2.3 Fabricating evidence or providing false information to staff for personal gain is not permitted.

3. Authority of Staff:

3.1 Rulings made by Senior Staff members are considered final. Lower staff judgments may be appealed with Senior Staff.

4. Exploits:

4.1 Item Duplication and Exploits:

4.1.1 Prohibit the duplication or unauthorized generation of items or resources.

4.1.2 Exploiting unintentional game features, especially in PvP scenarios, is strictly forbidden.

4.1.3 Usage of exploits to crash or cause lag on the server will lead to a permanent ban.

4.2 Teleportation Exploits:

4.2.1 Utilizing any exploit or unintended game mechanic to teleport or bypass travel cooldowns is grounds for a ban.

4.3 Reporting Exploits:

4.3.1 Failure to promptly report discovered exploits, unintended features, or advantageous bugs may result in penalties, including bans.

4.3.2 Initial reports of bugs, exploits, or unintended features may be subject to rewards at the discretion of Senior Staff.

5.0 In-game Advantages:

5.1 Permitted Mods:

5.1.1 Mods providing an extreme advantage over vanilla players are not allowed. Exceptions include minimap mods that show players/player radar

5.1.2 Automation mods that automatically place, break, or perform tasks are prohibited, with the exception of Easyplace and printers. 5.2 Account Usage:

5.2.1 Sharing accounts among multiple players is not permitted.

5.2.2 The use of a VPN or proxy requires the submission of a ticket with a legitimate reason for approval by staff.

6.0 Nations and Towns:

6.1 Nation and Town names may not be named after real-life locations or place names, it is at staff discretion if this counts or not. Likewise this is the case for religions in-game.

7.0 Unethical Actions:

7.1 Prohibit joining or leaving a nation with the intent to steal items. Definition and Prohibitions:

Insiding, involving attacking a nation/town from within (e.g., robbing chests or breaking walls), is strictly prohibited.

Joining a nation/town with the intent to inside is not allowed. Permitted Actions:

Long-term members involved in insiding due to a falling out with their leader will be handled without staff intervention. Preventive Measures:

Encourage players to proactively secure their chests and valuables via town protection and plot mechanics, limiting access to newcomers. Punishments:

Insiding cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the GrimurRP staff team, with punishments varying in severity. 7.2 World downloading or third-party tools to inspect or steal confidential builds.

7.2.1 The use of world downloads, freecam or X-Ray for unfair stealing confidential buildings or chest locations is not permitted.

7.2.2 World downloads and freecam are permitted in your own towns/friendly towns provided they are being used in a way approved of by all parties involved (the player, the mayor/leadership of town in question).

8.0 Towering/Nerdpoling/Skybridging:

Definition and Prohibitions:

Towering, creating pillars to scale walls higher than five blocks, is not allowed.

Skybridging, creating bridges in the sky (especially during war) is not allowed. Likewise creating platforms at sky limit or high in the sky to avoid being claimed is not permitted, a platform refers to unnatural looking builds in the sky.

Players engaging in towering will face escalating punishments, starting with a 24-hour ban.

9.0 Baritone, Autoclicking, and Printing:

Definitions and Regulations:

Baritone (robotic automation), autoclicking, and printing are subject to strict regulations.

Baritone is not allowed and results in an inventory wipe and a temporary ban.

Autoclicking results in a warning and may be wiped depending on the severity of use and a temporary ban.

Printing is allowed but remains subject to change.

10.0 War Rules:

10.0.1 Wars must have a valid in-world reason to be happening. Staff may ask you about the circumstances behind your war, and you must be able to explain in a concise manner the roleplay reasons for it to be happening. Admins reserve the right to veto war periods for any reason.

11.0 Travel Infrastructure Grief In Wilderness (Temporary Measure):

11.1 Until server economy has a chance to support upkeep required and until mechanics for sphere of influence mechanics are complete, griefing rails, roads and other travel infrastructure in the wilderness is not allowed.
